Street Photo is a picture taken down Fairhaven during what was then called the Strawberry Festival, currently
called Berry Dairy Days Weekend.
This Strawberry shortcake was made in 1954 and at that time it was claimed to be the largest strawberry short-
cake made, consisting of 60 sheets of sponge cake that took over 12 hours to bake.
The photo of the two boys, Eddie Mason and Garnor Bensen, was during the Strawberry Festival parade in
1948, a little over 60 years later Garnor Bensen was upgraded to the Grand Marshal in the Grand Parade.
