Welcome to the Mount Vernon Chamber!
Our vision is to foster economic prosperity and quality of life in our region. The Chamber
accomplishes this by being a catalyst for business growth, a convener and partner of
leaders and influencers who make things happen and the connector for creating a strong
and stable business environment and community. We focus on engaging activities to
increase business attraction and retention in the area, increasing the membership value
through Mount Vernon Chamber programs, services and partnerships.
One of the many facets of a Chamber of Commerce is to be the voice of business in our
community and to those elected to political office. Advocating on behalf of our members
and partnering to support initiatives that strengthen our community is integral to ensure
Mount Vernon is viewed as a superior place to do business in this region.
We also assist you directly by providing the tools and exposure you need to help you
succeed. We achieve this through:
Business information and training on timely and important topics through professional
development classes in both English and Spanish, membership meetings, newsletters
and website.
Marketing and promotional opportunities promoting our members and our community
to bring you customers and clients through our website, publications and social media,
along with cooperative marketing of our area.
Networking opportunities to build and leverage business relationships to generate
new sales and to actively engage and promote our community. We achieve this through
events and programs including Chamber After Hours, Biz Buzz luncheons, referral
programs, and participation in a variety of other events.
Representing business to government through advocacy and information, engaging
in political action to advocate as the voice of business at the local, county and state
levels of government.
Workforce development and new business training through our Chamber Foundation
and Chamber initiatives or in partnership with other organizations. Our goals are to
strengthen our local economy through workforce development as well as business
attraction and retention strategies to ensure that business is a priority in the region.
