Mayor’s Message
As the Mayor of Edmonds I wish to encourage residents and visitors alike to use
this directory as a guide to the full array of shopping, services and dining available
in our community. Those of us who live and work in Edmonds should be especially
mindful of the impact that spending locally can have on our community. Every
dollar spent here result in a multiplier effect of economic vitality that supports
local businesses and local jobs. What’s more, patronizing local shops, services and
restaurants generates tax revenue that can be invested back into this community’s
parks, roads and public safety.
I’m delighted to serve as this community’s Mayor and, together with the Edmonds
City Council, we’re leading this community into a future of prosperity, inclusion
and opportunity. We are proud to boast a thriving arts and culture scene,
a beautiful waterfront, wonderful parks and public spaces, and a top-notch
collection of shops, services and restaurants that serve our growing population
and growing numbers of visitors.
Edmonds leads the region in the high level of civic engagement and involvement
of our residents, something the City Council and I pride ourselves in and
continually strive to facilitate and grow. We encourage any resident, business
owner or visitor to feel free to contact any one of us elected leaders, our
department directors, or line staff to share your comments, suggestions, praise,
or just to stay informed and ask questions. Reach us in person, via e-mail, via
Facebook or through our City website, www.edmondswa.gov.
Finally, let me say how much I have enjoyed
being Mayor of Edmonds the past eight years.
Watching the increased vitality, energy, younger
demographic, and dramatically improved
economy, it has been a pleasure to be part of.
My best wishes to you and the community of
Edmonds in the coming years.
Mayor Dave Earling
City of Edmonds
