8 Board Chair Message

What an exciting time to be a part of the Burlington
community and the Burlington Chamber of Commerce!
As we stand on the opening days of 2019, I am grateful
to be in a community that recognizes the strength of
business both large and small, as well as the richness
that diversity brings. I have always said that Burlington
is the gem of the Skagit Valley, in part because of
the warm and welcoming relationships that exist
throughout the city, our businesses and our people. I
also believe that businesses – large and small – are the
backbone of the community.
The Burlington Chamber is dedicated to the
success of our members, and we strive to foster
healthy relationships throughout our businesses and
community. We strive to be the Premier Business
Association in the county! Our monthly luncheons
are a great place to network, market, make strategic
connections, and promote your business (and have
Diane Bobko some fun too!).
If you are visiting our area, we encourage you
to enjoy our parks and many community activities – then settle into one of our amazing
restaurants and rest well in our hotels. If you are a resident, you know what a great
community this is, and how the relationships with our businesses, government and service
organizations contribute to making Burlington a true gem. Thank you ALL for supporting
our local businesses!
As incoming Board chair, I want to let you know that your board and leadership takes
our role seriously to support and strengthen our local business community. To our current
Chamber members ~ thank you! We appreciate your support and the value you bring to our
network. If you are not yet a Chamber member, come check us out! You’ll see the value
that a Chamber membership can bring.
We love to hear from you - give us a call and let us know what’s on your mind. And
here’s to 2019 and the great things that lie ahead for Burlington and the Skagit Valley!
